We passed by the Disney Hall in downtown Los Angeles today. Aaaaamazing! I was so pleased to finally see a Frank Gehry work out of Time Magazine's pages but for a while there, while tita Libette dragged her driving so we can take of it as much as we can, I thought it committed a major wastage of materials, though in a majestic way. Does that make it forgivable?
"It's so pretty to our eyes, allow it to waste all that steel sheet or whatchamacallit!"
Before that, we spent some time at the Cathedral of our Lady of Angels, which is another weirdness and majestic in one corner of downtown LA. Aaaaamazing! I can't help but appreciate its immense beauty and splendor but at the back of my mind that's always-pushing-itself-forward, "Isn't it too much? Shouldn't they have done away with the splendor and kept beauty in simplicity? Is God comfortable being worshipped in such majestic environment while many of His people are homeless and hungry?"
Being a tourist though, I can't help but let go of a gasp after another. It's very rare we use weird, majestic, splendid and beauty in one sentence. But there you go.

Santee Alley deserves a post of its own and also, the dinner at tita Libette's :)
