Maica said it's almost a tradition among Los Angelenos to grill some barbecue on Memorial Day. We didn't grill barbecues, but we did grill patties and cheese for our burgers.

I ran to the nearby Vallarta just before lunch to buy soda, chips, and our favorite pico de gallo, to go with our burgers.
Lettuce, Cheese, and Patty -- that would be all for me.
