Welcome dinner at tito Miking and tita Tammy's home
Oh, dessert.
Tita Tammy's Iced Toffee w/ homemade choco caramel syrup.
Unforgettable. Had 2 slices and a half.
(Above picture is a half)
Must visit: Biltmore Castle, America's largest home in Asheville, NC.
Richie Rich was filmed here, naturally.
Gorgeous Japanese maple tree in full autumn get-up.
Tito Miking and tita Tammy's gorgeous cabin in Todd, NC.
Straight out of the Home & Living Magazine.
Sunrise at 730 am. Tito Miking's cabin faces the sunset so we intruded on a neighbor's cabin that faces the sunrise. The neighbors were not in.
This is a scene from tito Miking and tita Tammy's cabin balcony.
A nature lover can't gush enough.
I'm sure i've seen it in a painting.
I rarely have my solo photo taken.
Land before time.
The cabin in full daylight.
Christmas tree farm in small town Jefferson, where tito Miking's office is. He is a doctor.
Oh, gorgeous.
Found in Blowing Rocks: Collies!
Tita Tammy said we couldn't leave Blowing Rocks without having a cup or a waffle of its pride, the Kilwin Ice Cream. Bieni had Cookies & Cream, and I had Peppermint Crunch and Pistachio Nut. There was a long line at the ice cream store, 90% of which were white-haired ladies and gentlemen. Tita Tammy would describe Blowing Rocks as "the home of the rich and retired."
Last dinner w/ the wonderful, wonderful NC-based relatives at Golden Corral, the first buffet-style restaurant I've been to that offers eat-all-you-can steak every day. And I thought the buffet at Cebu's Marco Polo is exaggerated.
